The land Down Under is an oasis of adrenaline filled adventures. One of its rare gems that’s shining brightly on the lottery world stage is the Oz Lotto.
Since its introduction in 1994 as Australia’s first official lotto game, the Oz Lotto has maintained its position as Australia’s most popular lottery game due to its chance for lucrative payouts.
You can choose your winning numbers either manually or through the Lotto247 Quick Pick method. A random number generator is used in the Quick Pick method to pick your numbers.
When you bet on the lotto, there are numerous benefits, namely;
After every Oz Lotto draw, your numbers are automatically checked against the drawn winning numbers.
The ‘Supplementary Numbers’ are the Bonus balls for Oz Lottery draws.
During the draw, ten (10) winning numbers are randomly picked, and the first seven (7) numbers are the main numbers. The remaining three (3) numbers, which are the Supplementary Numbers, are used in determining prize tiers two (2), four (4) and seven (7).
The draw for Oz Lotto happens once a week on Tuesdays at 20:30 AEST from Melbourne, Australia and broadcasts on TV Channel 7.
You can place your Oz Lotto bets up to one hour before the draw on Lotto247.

Oz Lotto is Australia’s famous national lottery game owned by the Tatts Group. It is administered by “the Lott”, the group’s lottery brand in all Australian States except for Western Australia, where Lotterywest administers it.
For more than two (2) decades, the Oz Lotto has been the source of fun in Australian homes every Tuesday. This exciting lottery has produced some of the biggest recorded payouts, thus cementing its status as the most famous lottery Down Under.
Despite its modest AU $3 million (approximately US $2 million) starting payout, the Australian lottery has produced two (2) of the biggest wins in Australia. On the 6th of November 2012, Oz Lotto recorded its biggest win when four (4) lucky winners shared AU $112 million.
On the 30th June 2009, Oz Lottery recorded its second-largest win when two (2) players from Queensland and South Australia shared the AU $106 million.
The Australian lotto has a 25 rollover limit. If, after the 25th draw, the main payout is not won, it will be rolled down to the second tier prize.
You need to match all seven (7) of the winning numbers drawn to win the Oz Lotto.
The Oz Lotto offers seven (7) fantastic prize tiers, with the minimum requirement of winning a prize is matching three (3) numbers and a Supplementary Number. To win this prize, you have a 1 in 71 chance.
Your overall chance of winning any prize is 1 in 51, while you have a 1 in 62,891,499 chance of having all of the winning numbers.

When the Oz Lotto was launched in 1994, its original format was similar to the Australian Saturday Lotto. It required you to choose six (6) numbers from a pool of 45 possible numbers.
In October 2005, the game matrix was amended and saw the Oz Lotto adopt a 7/45 game format, considerably lengthening the chances of winning. This change also resulted in changes in the branding of the Australian lottery in many states.
The brand changes were to emphasise the addition of the seventh ball, with names such as Super 7’s Oz Lotto in Tatts regions and Oz 7 Lotto in Queensland.
However, in 2012 the game reverted back to the original ‘Oz Lotto’ branding in the Tatts regions and Queensland.
